It is all about the Junior A County Final, next Saturday

When not been battered by Storm Bert over the weekend, the only topic of conversation was and is, the Junior A County Final next weekend, when Killavullen play Tracton in Pairc Ui Rinn, at 7.00 PM on Saturday, the 30th. Planned training sessions had to be changed around, and fluid plans made, when the main field in Killavullen was inundated with several feet of water. However this is a resourceful bunch, and cars from the North side were parked up, at Tom Dorgan’s entrance, and a jeep and tractor and trailer used to ferry the players across the flood waters.
The children of Killavullen and Ballygown National Schools decorated the dressing rooms with motivational little sound bites and every player of the panel was drawn up, and added to the wall.
It certainly was appreciated by the players who spent a good deal of time reading the messages, some brilliantly witty, some with fantastic art work, and well, some who had taken artistic licence to draw up what they see / felt / wished / hoped for.
The U9 and U10 group from Killavullen and Tracton will play a mini game at the interval, and these young players are excited as well to be sharing the same pitch, as their hero’s.
So, do get along to Pairc Ui Rinn, in good time, and in huge numbers, and hopefully, we will bring home the Cup to Killavullen. Imagine that before the 26th of October, we had never even won a North Cork title, so stellar progress has been made this year.
