Club Clean Up Day - 21st of Sep

Firstly, kudos to the 92 clubs in Cork for registering to take part in the Cork GAA Community Clean-Up Day which takes place on Saturday next September 21st.
Gloves, Hi-Vis jackets, litter pickers and bags have been picked up, and will be ready for use, next Saturday, in Killavullen GAA Grounds at 10.00 AM.
To coincide with World Clean Up Day, Cork GAA called on all adult and underage, Hurling, Football, Camogie and Ladies Football clubs across Cork to get involved in a facility Clean Up Day on 21st September 2024.
This initiative is all about promoting community engagement, raising environmental awareness, and taking pride in our shared spaces.
It builds on the fantastic work already done by clubs and communities in our county and Cork GAA is proud to the be first County Board in the country to undertake such an initiative on this scale.
In Cork, Our hurling, football, camogie and ladies football clubs are sustained by their communities where the passion for our games is passed from one generation to the next, and we must ensure we pass on the planet in a stronger position to the next generation.
The Cork GAA Community Clean Up Day initiative aims to promote community engagement, environmental awareness, and pride in our shared spaces.
On this day, players, coaches, officials, supporters, and wider communities will unite to clean up various locations across Cork City and County. Our mission? To collect and properly dispose of large volumes of waste, fostering a cleaner, healthier environment.
The event takes place on the Saturday following World Clean Up Day, which falls on Friday, September 20th September, an initiative that has grown into the largest civic movement in human history, bringing together 211 countries and territories with 91 million volunteers dedicated to creating a cleaner planet.
Killavullen GAA will certainly be taking part, on this very worthy initiative, we hope to see you all on Saturday. 10.00 AM in the club grounds
